I ate ’nd took some meds– but I took ’em a while ago, they should’ve kicked in by now.
He was so gentle and sweet to her and it made her smile in pure happiness—if they put their brains together, they would be able to do this for sure. Plus, it was good practice for when they finally did become parents in the future. “My name’s Chan, is there anything specific you wish to do first?” She looked at the little girl expectantly who said that she wanted ice cream making her giggle.
“Ice cream?” Would it be ok to give her that? He didn’t want to spoil her appetite for dinner, but he honestly couldn’t say no to her. “Sure thing kiddo.” A crooked smile etched itself across his lips. Reaching a hand out to the child, he spoke once more, “C'mon sweetie.”
As the little girl spoke, she felt her heart flutter—perhaps this wasn’t going to be as bad as she thought and it was only for three days, right? She just hoped that she wouldn’t end up getting too attached like she always did to people. “Jin-hee? That’s a beautiful name.”
“A pretty name for such a pretty lil girl.” He couldn’t help but to smile as she spoke. Her frame was tiny, and she looked not much older than that of 4 or 5 years. “Well Jin-hee, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Yoseob.”
Inclining her head over her shoulder, she scrunched up her nose and growled at him, “come on Mr ‘Daddy’… there is no way I am doing this on my own!” She grabbed his wrist and tugged him down to hers and the child’s level before smiling sweetly. “You’re very pretty.”
The sudden tug forward had him thrown off guard; stumbling over his own feet as he was forced down to eye-level with the young child. “S-sorry, guess my nerves got the best of me.” He mumbled a few quiet apologizes to her. Turning his attention back towards the child, he watched as she gave a shy smile to the other.
As he attempted to comfort her, it helped to some extent before walking over to the child her self and looking down at her with a kind smile. It was just a little human, she could do this. “H-hey sweetie, what’s your name?”
He watched with a quaint smile as the other approached the child. He moved to follow after her, but it seems nervousness has settled in, gluing him to the spot. Yoseob, it’s a child. Get a hold of yourself. You can do this. Ultimately, those words had done nothing, seeing as he hadn’t made any indication of moving.
“I am gonna be terrible at this though—I don’t know what to do at all.” She noticed the kid just to the side of them and her eyes widened, “w-what do we do?” She stuttered.
“Let’s just relax, ok? Just take a deep breath and relax. We can do this, a'right?" He gave a reassuring smile, placing a hand on her should, squeezing it lightly. His attention wandered over to the child not too far from them. "I guess we should introduce ourselves. Don’t you think?”
“I-I’ve had zero experience with kids. This is gonna be a bit of a trainwreck.” A teasing smile graced her lips as she looked up at him. “We can treat it like that ‘Hello Baby’ show!”
“I’m a bit worried how this’ll turn out, but maybe just maybe it won’t be bad.” He sighed, rubbing at his neck, lips pursed in thought. “Ah, y'know..that might work. If we do it like that show then I’m sure it won’t be a definite trainwreck.”
